The honor recognizes his long-standing commitment to a circular food economy\u2014particularly through the association United Against Waste (UAW), the operations of which are managed by Foodways.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The StreamUp funding program\u2014initiated by UAW and developed and launched by the team led by Markus Hurschler\u2014supports innovative projects that make productive use of side streams and surplus raw materials.
