The eleven measures focused on three objectives: strengthening regional food supply and value creation, and promoting a diverse, healthy, fair, and environmentally responsible food system. Against this backdrop, the city and cantonal administration is developing a new &#8220;Sustainable Food System Strategy for Basel-Stadt 2030,&#8221; which builds upon the previous package of measures and enjoys broad support from local stakeholders.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cover is-light\" style=\"min-height:50px;aspect-ratio:unset;\"><span aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-cover__background has-blue-light-background-color has-background-dim-20 has-background-dim\"><\/span><div class=\"wp-block-cover__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-cover-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading tag\">OUR SOLUTION<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong>Gathering input and validation from stakeholders in business, academia, and civil society<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In close collaboration with the project team from the Canton of Basel-Stadt, we designed a process to engage and involve key stakeholders in the strategy-development phase through two workshops. We worked as partners throughout the entire process\u2014from the initial outreach to the stakeholders, to the design and execution of the workshops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, Foodways provided substantive sparring and input at key moments throughout the process to help develop the content of the strategy\u2014most notably at the outset and following the first stakeholder workshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Foodways\u2019 services include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Identification and expansion of the list of stakeholders from the hospitality, retail, processing, public administration, and civil society sectors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Outreach and communication with stakeholders on behalf of the municipal and cantonal authorities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Planning, implementation, facilitation, and documentation of two workshops (held both in-person and virtually) with over 70 and 50 participants, respectively<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conceptual development of a strategy document and action plan based on input gathered during the workshops<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provision of strategic feedback and expert input to the project team within the municipal and cantonal administration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cover is-light\" style=\"min-height:50px;aspect-ratio:unset;\"><span aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-cover__background has-blue-light-background-color has-background-dim-30 has-background-dim\"><\/span><div class=\"wp-block-cover__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-cover-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading tag\">IMPACT &amp; RESULTS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>The strategy has received the support of stakeholders and is ready to be presented to further authorities.<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The strategy document was successfully developed under the guidance of a project team comprising representatives from the city and cantonal administrations.
